Moon Me

The moon. We have all seen it. It is there almost every night, glowing in the night sky.

Photographing the moon is a difficult task.

1. You must try to focus as perfectly as possible on the moon, which is difficult when everything else is dark.

2. You need to appropriately choose your exposure time, if too short the moon will be too dark, if too long the moon will be overwhelmingly bright.

3. You need to keep the camera perfectly still.

If you can follow these steps, using a lens that is at least 200mm long you should have no problem creating inspiring images of the night sky. The longer your lens, the closer you can frame your photos, however if you can see more of the sky it can produce an interesting alternative.
